Default '71 wiper switch ground

I have narrowed my wiper problem down to a grounding issue. If I ground the switch with a test light, the wiper door opens and the wipers engage. Does anyone know where this switch is grounded or if there could be another solution? I am going to purchase a build manual, but would like to get this corrected sooner.

i just posted a response to your problem, but now see you seem to have hit on answer, good, disregard my response and look at connector in back of switch, three prong i think, one of them is ground,if you hook a test light to connector, you can id which one is ground go from there,jc

Thanks. The switch has a light blue, a dark blue and a black with white stripe wire. All are hot depending on the position of the switch. The black w/white is hot when the switch is pushed in the wash position.
