Default '74 Exhaust question??

Who sells a "complete" exhaust kit from the headers back w/ x or h pipe?
Thanks.

Try Ecklers or Corvette Central.

I prefer to take the car to a shop that fabricates their own pipes.

Can't answer that one, I kept the cast iron manifolds and got chambered exhaust pipes from MidAmerica. Sounds faster that it is. PG.

Gonzo take a look at this site: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku
If that does not apply to your year vette, call these people and they will gladly help you find what you need.

I had my exhaust done at a small shop that does really good work. One thing I will say, so you don't jeopardize your low-end torque, 18" back past the end of the header collector, install a "cross pipe" ("H" pipe) from one side to the other, perpendicular. This is a well-known standard practice and works very well.

Does anyone have any recommendations for exhaust on a 75 vette? I have magna flows on my mustang, but I want a little louder, throatier sound on my vette. Also, I would like to get the cats taken off to help with sound and performance. Has anyone had this done?

JSholm2, Hearders and tunable side pipes. Cheers and welcome, both of you, to the site if I haven't said that already.

Flowmasters

When I ride down the street in my Corvette we set off all the car alarms for half a block! It makes me laugh to have all the fancy beemers flash their lights and chirp their horns as Christine struts her stuff!

"X" pipe has better flow than the "H" pipe.

this might be a stupid question but whats the advantage of putting in an "H" or "X" in a 74 that has true duel exhaust?
