Default antena

I have a 75 Vette which I bought last year. When I got it, the antena had a slight bend in it, (no big deal). The previous owner has a dry, heated garage to store it in over the winter which I don't so I needed to store the car in a storage bag. For the life of me I could not get the antena off. I tried everything and that mast would not come off. In desperation and since I would buy a new mast in the spring, I cut it off so I could at least put the car away for the winter. Spring came and still could not get the mast off! I ordered a whole new antena, cable and all.

My question is; Is there an easy way to thread the antena cable through the car with out pulling carpet, seats, etc? Can you attach the NEW antena to the OLD cable? I have the new antena in placeand have the new and oldcable zip-corded andtucked up inside the wheel compartment.

Default RE: antena

I take it you don't have a power antenea, right?
I don't see any reason why you can't just attach the old cable to the new antenea.
