If memory serves me correctly, there is a little Allen socket set screw on the bottom facing surface. Loosen it and the **** slips off.

You are right there is one very small set screw in the bottom of each ****.
Turns out they are stripped.
I guess I will need to put the ***** off with some pliers.
Hope I don't screw something else up.

Actually the threads are just plastic. About the second time I put mine back on, I had to use Loctite or superglue. Worked.

Can you use a small screw extractor?

We are taking real small set screws.
Like smaller then a 1/16"
Do they make screw extractors that small?

Not sure but I would imagine. perhaps for the computer industry or something. If not how about drilling it out and re-tapping it a little bigger. Better than yanking it off with pliers, right? Good luck with it. Cheers

How about putting a small dab of elmers glue on the allen wrench, inserting it in the screw, and letting it set up. Now ya might be able to pull gently as you turn the screw, and get the screw to kinda thread it's way out. Soak the wrench and screw in hot water and the glue will disolve, thus releasing the screw from the wrench. Just a thought.

Try magnetizing the allen wrench and apply a slight amount of pressure when unscrewing the set screw. That's how I got mine out.
