big block
hey everyone, im a 18 year old kid who just got a 1977 corvette in trade for shingeling a guys roof, it runs and drives but i want some more power. whats the biggest motor and upgrade i could do to it. i sold my other car so i got around 4000 to spend on this job. any way i could push 600 + horsepower?
First, Welcome to CF.
There are a lot of ways to go to get that 600 HP. I'm partial to 454 engines, but you can get that much horse out of a small block too. What engine is in it now? Has it been pumped at all?
Basically, you'll want to strip the block of all stock parts, have the block machined and prepped for new guts.
Pistons, crank, rods, heads, cam and valve train, intake, and headers. Maybe a turbo or blower. It would be real easy to drop that 4 g's in the engine.

yea i have a 350 in it at the moment. i know that 4g wont take me to far but i had a 472 given to me and was wondernig if you could put blowers on them and if i rebuilt it with a elbrock kit if it would even handle a blower, thanks starship
