C3 EXHAUST
I would like to replace my stock mufflers with something with a little less back pressure. Has anyone done this to there C3 and used the existing 2" exhaust pipes that connect to the mufflers. All the mufflers I see avertised are 2 1/2" in.
I already have reducers at my headers and don't want to add any more.[/align]

If your existing exhaust system is 2" and the muffler is 2 1/2", it sounds like you would be going bigger at the muffler, not smaller.
FYI: The stock exhaust diameter for the L82 was 2 1/2" and I think the L48 was 2 1/4". I realize that the stock manifold was only 2", but the pipe expanded right below the manifold. There was a period where the small block manifolds had a 2 1/2" exit but it was pre-68.

You could try Summit Racing. They have a Hooker Aero Chamber Muffler in 2" P/N HOK-21500HKR for about $62 each or Summit has their own brand SUM-633220 for $38 each, or Flowtech Afterburner BIG-50320FLT for $42 each. Check them out at www.summitracing.com. Hope this helps you>
