Default Cam and Lifter problems

I have a 1978 Silver Ann w/350 cid that was recently rebuilt. I am running 194 heads w/rollers and dual springs. Had a crane cam slightly higher lift w/hydraulic lifters. After about 5-6 k it started running really rough. After breaking down the top end I discovered that some of the cam lobes were shaved down to almost nothing and the corresponding lifters were shot as well! I replaced the cam with another crane close to stock lift and another set of ma\tching lifters. I drained the oil added cam break in lube and broke the cam in to specs. It ran beautifully. I( drove it for about 30 miles and it began running rough again! I can hear a lifter or two making noise. Is it normal that I might need to re-adjust the lifters again? Could the dual spring set up be too much and causing extreme friction on the cam and lifters? I'm frustrated and could use some advice!

I think it is the dual spring set up.
To be sure I would contact the cam manufacturer and ask them.

.....and yes, you may have to adjust the valve train again. Check your clearances.
