Default Car does not sit level

I'm a relative new b who purchased a 77 a year ago. Perfect professional restoration. Love it. One pet peeve is the car does not sit level - It's not "down" in the rear like many I've seen. The rear appears to be the perfect height. Rather, it's the front that appears to ride high - perhaps 3 or 4 inches. Not a lot but enough to bug me. It's especially noticable between the top of the front tires and the front fenders. My local Vette center says it's normal - nothing to worry about. In fact, he added a few washers in the rear (not sure where exactly. I think where the ball joints are.) That helped a little but to fix it completely, the rear would have to be raised more than is normal. I'd be the only Vette with a f***ing lift kit!!

How do I make this car sit perfectly level? How can I "lower" the front a couple inches? Thanks all.

Hello Eric, I have owned a 73 LS4 coupe since 89, It's possible that the previous owner may have had the front springs removed for control arm bushings and the coils were not positioned correctly when reinstalled, or the springs were replaced with heavier springs meant for a big block. You need to measure the thickness of the coils and the number of coils then contact a GM parts person at a dealer and see if you springs measure up. I have see a few Vettes at car shows that had the same problem and a few owners have said they had new springs installed and that they needed to settle in to the right height, I myself don't buy that, let me know how you make out.

Thanks. That's an excellent tip and sounds perfectly logical. My car is just about to go down for the winter so my next visit to my local Vette service center won't be until spring. However, I'll be sure to report back on the outcome. Thanks again.
