Default Chambered Exhaust

I could use some input from this video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kukI2LnxrqY
Instead of sidepipes this would be a much cheaper way to go with chambered exhaust.
My ears don't work like they use to if you know what I mean.

Thanks,
Schoon

Don't know where the mike was for the video but it sounded louder than my '69 factory sidepipes. Sounded about like the mid-year style which are chambered pipes.

I can get the exhaust for under $5 bills and hook them up to my existing hooker headers.
That's a lot cheaper then $2500 for sidepipes.
Worst cast , they are to loud or sound like a boat and then I junk them.
I have heard stories that sidepipes discharge too close to your hearing.
My hearing is bad enough as is.

And you won't have to worry about burned legs.

The hooker headers on have on now are kind of ugly brown from oxidation over the years.
Is there a way of coating them etc to look better.
I am sure they would need to be blasted first.

I'm a believer in Jet-Hot coating. Recommend it for any non-stainless steel exhaust parts including cast iron manifold. Drops the temperature a bunch. If done on new parts, it's got a lifetime warranty. I think they'll clean up used parts for you.
