I installed a Centerforce 2 Clutch, through-out bearing, pilot bearing, flywheel and a Hurst shifter.
Been very happy ever since.

Were they talking end play or out-of-round play?

end play in the shaft itself i even had a roller one purchased then read all the horror stories about them comming apart after 3-400 miles so i went with the oil impregnated brass instead. thetremmec and other newer style transmissions i guess have much less end play and dont get as sloppy as the older style ones, i dont think you could even see the slop without a new one and a old one side by side for comparison..

Guess I'd better go get the old style. Heck the old one with 72K mi was still tite. The roller one just sounded hi-tech.

FYI,
Center Force 2 clutches are great for performance but they suck in traffic, parades etc.
They heat up real fast.
