Default Decal Set 82 collector edition

Hi everyone. Been way to long since my last visit. Just coming out of a year battle to get my 82 CE back from repair shop after meeting with a deer. My question is about the stripe kit for my 82 Collector edition. Any pointers / suggestions on where to purchase? I know it's going to be expensive, but got to get my baby back the way it belongs. Anyone purchased a set recently? Where from? Cost / satifaction etc. Thanks guys and gals. Your help is appreciated as always.

Have you tried the usual suspects such as Corvette Central, Zip, Paragon, MidAmerica, et. al.?

Default 82 Corvette Collector Edition Decals

eBay has listings from time to time for GM NOS decals or aftermarket decals.
NOS decal's adhesive may fail as sitting unused for decades.
Might want to check eBay or Dxine decals at http://www.dixine.net

It's tough removing the old acetate decals. I used a single edge razor blade to take mine off. Be careful with the razor !

Currently, after removing the decals & plastic pin stripes, my '82 CE has been sanded down to the factory primer since the original clear coat had a zillion tiny scratches. I ordered acrylic lacquer from TCP Globals restoration shop at http://www.tcpglobal.com/Restorationshop/ since lacquer paint here in Hawaii has only one supplier who wanted $400 @gal.

Since I have a 40+ year old GM NOS Z-28 302, M-22 & 3:54 Dana Spicer which I plan to install later when the original 350/700-R4 retires, have decided on the '69 Z-28 Fathom Green lacquer & emblems which will later turn this Corvette into an RPO Z-28 C3 Corvette CE. Plan to retain the Crossfire injection system with the programmable 1227747 ECM with HAM module installed.

As "73 Shark" menitioned...Aaahh yes...the DZ Crossram setup would be nice especially with the Off-road DZ 302 solid lifter cam.
Here's a clip of 30/30 Duntov solid on the Z-28 302- Sweet sounding cam:

It would probably be very costly but the DZ crossram setup would be nice.

Yes i've tried the usual suspects. Eckler, Corvette America (specially ordered recently for the repair shop I just pulled my car from), CorvetteSouth, and Phoenix Graphics, all found on the internet. Prices vary from $1225 -$1599. Should have been clearer, but mostly wondering about satisfaction with your purchase versus price, etc. All reproductions that I read about have less DPI (dots per inch) density on the 3 fader decals, but in not suppose to be noticeable. Apparently only a couple of places are making these sets anymore because of the cost of production. And yes I think Dixine just started carrying them again. Thanks for all info / feedback
