hey Aldo!

Great information! I enjoyed especially the specifications on the different engines and gear ratios.

Thanks for the info. Hard to believe that back then the big block was actually cheaper than the L-82and the roadster was cheaper than the coupe. Where's my flux capacitor when I need it?

Even with hydraulic lifters, mine would easily rev to the 6000 redline. They said 5500 but it's really 6000. I think 5500 was for the base engine.

[align=left]Great article. I was a sophmore in high school in 73... and I remember it well. My dad and I were rebuilding my first car in the garage when that article came out, a '69 SS396 Chevelle, a total east coast rust bucket with a blow'd up M22. It took a year to get it looking and running good, and my dad would pick me up after drivers ed in it. I took my drivers test in it... didn't really impress the driving examiner though. He probably drove a Volvo...
Anyways... it took a few years... but I finally got a '73 big block in 1984. Think I'll keep it.

Italy has to be a great place to drive a Vette... can't be too many of them there...

Wow, what a great find. Thanks for posting this; my first vette is my 73 vert and I don't think I could have a better model. I love the lines and the whole look of the car and the year has all the improvements listed in the article that make it unique. Thanks again, I printed this out to save.
