BTW What are "Notifications" and how do I access them? It sez I have 2
I used to have a '70 SS 454 "Heavy Chevy" Chevelle.
Factory stock she was kickin' down 525 HP. It's a nostalgia thing, besides, I haven't heard a SB sound quite like the BB.
If I should want more HP in the future, I can get more, at a lower cost than I've found from a SB. You can get many horses from a SB, just takes more $$.
Don't get me wrong, there ain't nuthin' wrong with a SB, I just couldn't get 'em to stay with the BB's when I was racin' stock cars. The BB's would out pull me in the straights.

Check the right side of the page, it will show your name and "private messages", this may be what you need to check.

Sweetness,
You're gonna have to hit the throttle pretty dang hard, many times, to bust that alum dif.
Sounds like you want a cruiser, not a drag star. Ain't nuthin' like layin' on a BB for that possitive passing power.
My 2 cents...

I see so far that the strength of the aluminum diff. hasn't been "pin-pointed." Where or at exactly what point does the aluminum diff. become a potential "weak link?" At 400hp or 400 lbs. of torque, as I'm thinking that the torque will wreck it as quickly or quicker than hp will. Someone please give us a ball-park figure. Thanks in advance.
