got a c-3 1981350 with headers and a bad dottery drain.i pulled all fuses no drain also found the starter was draining it for the second time.is it possible the headers are getting to the starter.i put a heat deflecter on it but will a drain at the starter.do I need to ground the engine to the frame. ?

 

In order to track down the drain on the battery, you need to monitor the battery current while pulling one fuse at a time until the drain goes away. That will isolate the circuit that you need to examine. And yes, the battery needs to be grounded either to the frame or to the battery.
