Default F70-15 Tires

Hi,
I am looking to sell 5 Tires that were off of my dads 69 corvette they are sup-r-belt F70-15. I am curious as what I should be asking? My dad had told me that they were original tires from a 69 Vet I have posted a picture showing what they look like. Thank you for your help

Welcome to the forum.

How old are they? You can find the date code on the sidewall.

Brand? Tread depth?

Hi thank you for your reply,
Im not sure where to look for the date code on the sidewall. I have taken pictures of the sidewall and see no date code. Please see attached, Also they are Firestone tires and the thread depth is close to half of a penny which I have attached.

From what I could find, these tires were made in the 17th week of a decade ending in 9. You might research when Firestone quit making that particular tire to see what the most recent decade is. I doubt they made them beyond the mid-70s which would mean these tires were made in 1969. Way too old to use. Even 1979 is too old.

If you are trying to be period correct, try Coker Tire.

Here's a good article.

Well the current industry standard is six years and toss. So these are probably useless unless someone is looking for period correct show tires and they don't explode when inflated.
