I recently tried adding a picture for my profile so that when I post, it can be seen. For some reason it always says my file is too big, yet when I resize it and make it smaller it still won't work. Any suggestions?

 

avatars need to be very small....less than 15k I would assume....try saving as a .GIF its a smaller format. Some programs like photoshop will allow you to specify the size of the file as opposed to the size of the picture...try cropping just a small piece of it where its just a couple Kilobytes and test posting with that

 

Can also use photobucket. It has some tools.

I downloaded FastStonePhotoResizer recently and it works OK too. And free.
