RE: how many HP?
Hi mr Squalo Azzurro,
thanksfor the appreciations to my Corvette. But please check also her defects in the other pics that I'm posting today.
I have to do some jobs in the interiors too ( seats have been spray painted , and some other parts too)
advises are welcome of course
see also my Mini 1000 1992. It's my every day's car
Aldo
p.s. I have to replace the spark plugs on my Vette. they are very old even if properly working.Suggestions? NGK UR4GP platinum?

RE: how many HP?
Hi,
Am I wrong or your engine block casting number is very close to mine? your pics are too small...
and now, after posting the nice pics of my Vette ( I was and advertising photographer and sometimes I made also cars photo shootings), here are the bad pics with all the defects.
Do you think that replacing the suspensions' bushing and adjusting the rear leaf spring , I will balance the car? see the difference between the left and right side
my Vette will be anyway "lower" than the most part of Corvette I've seen. But I like it so low, because is more aggressive, even if there's the risk that the headers will touch the ground ( see pic). Roads here are not so flat as in the US. Actually i had no problem when driving my Vette some days ago. I was also surprised how good was the stability with bad suspensions and old , hard tires
I will probably replace the rear suspension with a composite one and gas shock absorbers. but not immediately. Now I will just readjust the leaf spring ( even if old, the shocks seems to work fine)

RE: how many HP?
Hey Aldo,
Brindisi is very nice. I was there back in 1996. My family (DiPietro) is from Pescara and my wife's family (Cervi) is from Piccinisco in Frosinone. We are planning a family trip back there soon. Maybe we will meet when I am there. You never know. Anyway should you need parts which it looks like you will, try some of these places:
www.ecklers.com
www.corvettecentral.com
www.corvetteamerica.com
www.riksvet.com

RE: how many HP?
Here's another good place to get repro parts: http://www.corvette-paragon.com/
They'll have that #4 body mount reinforcement and the nut plate on the inside.
Good luck with your project.

RE: how many HP?
Signor Aldo, They all have their issues. It's still a great looking car. The more you drive it the more you'll love it.
The little "Mini" looks like it would be a lot of fun to run around in. I think those little cars are cool.
This forum is a great place to learn and all the folks here love to help. So ask all the questions you want.
Injoy your beautiful car in your beautiful country....Hope to make it over there some time before I take my "dirt nap" Lot's of family there as well.
Salute

RE: how many HP?
You have a magnificant home. It is very similar to my Aunts summer home in Calabria. Your vette is beautiful.
Also, if you're not familiar with some of the big vette parts stores. Here are some that will really help.
www.ecklers.com (Biggest one I know of and I think they ship to Italy. Don't quote me on that though)
http://www.vbandp.com/ Great store for stainless steel brakes and other accessories.
I can't remember who has it in their signature block, but their quote is "if you're not rich and you own a vette buy a wiring diagram and a multi-meter. "
That's some of the most sound advice I've read. Ecklers sells a pretty good laminated wiring diagram too.
Welcome to the vette community. =)

RE: how many HP?
Hi
I've seen that you have suggested to AUS 10M to go for an Edelbrock 750cfm carb to push his stock 350 engine.
should I do the same? my former idea was to replace my EDL 1406 carb with a 1405 ( both 600cfm). But considering your advises about , I should probably go for a EDL 1407 750cfm.
I'm going to makeparts orders to 1-2 Corvette shops and buy both parts for restoring and for engine improvement. i would like to make no mistakes ( Corvette parts are quite cheap but shipping and custom fees to italy not!)
I have also to replace the 10" air cleaner with a larger one , but it seems to me that a larger one will touch the hood. the 10" cleaner is just 2" tall , but larger ones are 3" ( not few). what do you think?possibly a triangular cleaner 2,5" could be the solution...I fear that the engine vibrations will destroy both the cleaner and the hood if there's not enouth clearance between them
I would like to post a couple of short video clips with my engine running at idle at various rpm , so I can possibly have some advises : the engine sound is there ...
But this forum doesn't allow such a possibility ( it's a pity). So , this is my email address : west@audioanthology.com . I will be glad to post such video clips to you ( DEEVEEEIGHT) and to anyone is interested.just give me a couple of days to make the clips ( I need a sunny, dry day)
thanks again
Aldo

RE: how many HP?
Hi Aldo,
Here'sthe carburetorI have on my engine, but I have an Edelbrock RPM Air Gaphi rise intake manifold and an aftermarket hi rise hood. This carburetor has mechanical secondaries which are desireable for manual transmission cars. I removed the manual choke and added an electric choke kit to mine.
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku
I use a 14" air cleaner with a drop base and I use an air filter for a 1969 Corvette (350 engine) which is not as tall as the later ones, itgives me a little more hood clearance.
Here's the carburetor and intake manifold
