i have a 1980 corvette and a short at the courtesy relay timer. i hooked up a test light at the battery and as soon as i unplug the timer the light goes out anyone ever come across this problem

Welcome to the forum.

Not familiar w/ the problem but do recall reading about problems w/ that timer. Might check it for shorts.
