New Front Bumper
Need some advice!
What is the better way to go, fiberglass or flexifit front bumper for my 74. How do they fit? Thanks, Schoon |
RE: New Front Bumper
What is your goal as far as the look of the car is concerned? Me personally, I would opt for the 'glass ones so I could smooth out the seams (fill 'em in). I love the look of a C3 with seamless bumpers.

RE: New Front Bumper
My original front has warped, rear too,so I'll be goin' to the glass front and rear. :)

RE: New Front Bumper
I agree with you DV8, I like the look of seamless front and rear bumpers. Actually, to be more precise, I dislike the factory attempt of hanging the 5MPH bumpers on, they look like a cheap fix and an after-thought. I'd go with the glass jobs.

RE: New Front Bumper
I have fiberglass on the front and rear, the color is the same as the rest of the car. They were on when I got the car, the rear is for the 80-82 year but I like the way it looks. I still have the seams but they line up just right. PG.

RE: New Front Bumper
Not to be the contrarian but I got a GM NOS urethane to put on cuz I didn't want to go thru the "adjustment" necessary with the 'glass or Truflex ones. If you are going to fill the seams, then go with the 'glass ones. :)

RE: New Front Bumper
If I was thefirst owner I would have stayed with urethane too just to keep it original. As far as how they line up, I don't have a clue. PG.

RE: New Front Bumper
Thanks for the info.
I think I will go with glass and fill in the seams. |
Where do you find NOS bumper covers for a C3?

True NOS? Good luck. E-bay would be a start. But most likely you will be looking at reproduction.
