New here. Looking to buy my 1st Vette
Any input is welcome.... I am looking to buy my 1st Corvette and I am looking for a 73-77 4 Speed Non convertible. Here is a little back ground. I am 50 years old and have had several 2nd gen Z-28's as well as several fox body Mustang GT's. I live in the Midwest so a Corvette with a rust free chassis/frame will be the most important item on my list. A lot of 2nd gen Camaro's in the Midwest have bad frames so I know what to look for. I am trying to stay in the $7000.00 - $10,000 range. Both my Dad and Brother have had Corvette's and I always said I would try one some day. Again any input is welcome.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
Personally I'd stay away from '74s and '76s for various reasons. Learn/read as much as you can about these years. Go to some Corvette car shows and talk to owners on what to look for. These cars are 40 years old and will potentially have a myriad of problems. Have a knowledgeable Corvette person go w/ you to check out any potential candidates.
Good luck w/ your search.

Welcome!
Ditto what 73 shark said about doing your homework thoroughly from various angles. Also recommended is get in touch with BAIRS corvettes in Linesville, PA and talk with Brian Bair and Mike. They have a video to help shoppers sift the good from the bad (well worth the very low price).
Are you interested in a show piece or a driver?
