Maybe because I think stainless steel has to be TIG welded. But I could be wrong.

 

Yes...stainless needs tig welded, and when done properly included backside purging with Argon. I have had no luck finding someone local yet, and several of the big national companies have also declined the work....too small a job I say. I can cut and fit the pieces.......I just need a professional welder to tig weld them. I will find some solution.

 

Have you reached out to Ryan's welding LLC in your town? He is a fabricator, If he can't do the job or won't do the job could he refer someone that could. Or I wouldn't be surprised if one of his employee's wouldn't do it from their home if you asked around.
