Hi Aldo, "remove all the services from the manifold". That is a very good idea! If I had done that first I would have determined that my miss was from a vacuum leak and I would not have rebuilt my carburator for nothing.

"No air flowing in the cockpit". There are three or four actuators in the heating/air conditioning system, they open and close little doors for heat or defrost or ac. They are in the duct work and it looks like you have to take the dash apart to change them so I have not gone in there. www.ecklers.com shows them. 27263 41353 41365 you can click on illustrations when looking at the part. PG.

But think how much you learned about your Qjet.

And now you know it's in good shape.

Hi SCHOON, I don't think that there is a easy way to change the vacuum lines on the head light switch. You have to take the dash apart, I spliced the wire to my head light switch in the engine compartment. PG.

Hi 73shark, Your right, I did learn the basics about carb repair. A few years ago I paid an "expert" $250.00 and I'm sure he laughed all the way to the bank.
I still am going to change the rods to one size larger, found the link http://www.carburetion.com/rodshang.asp but the size 47's are on back order. PG.

PG,
You lost me!
Why would you splice a wire to the headlight switch.
I thought we were talking about vacuum hoses.

I think he meant splice the headlite vacuum hose so he wouldn't have to pull apart the dash to get to where the hose connects to the headlite switch.

Hi SCHOON, yes 73shark is correct. I should have used the word vacuum "hose" not "wire". At the tip of the screwdriver is where I made the splice so I would not have to take the dash apart. PG.
