Hello All... I'm new to the forum and just purchased my first corvette for the wife about 2 weeks ago. We live in a small town in S.C. The car is a 79 350/350 all original accept the stereo. Numbers matching with 68,682 miles. Its beautiful and we are loving it. I have a couple questions.... #1. There is what appears to be a vacuum push/pull switch mounted on the dash under the steering column. Anyone know what this is? #2. The rear spoiler is loose. I can move it front to back about an inch. I have tried to tighten the nuts from under the car to no avail. Any ideas?? Thanks for the forum. Looking forward to getting to know you guys. Mike

Welcome to the forum.
The vacuum switch under the steering column is to manually raise the headlights. The **** next to it is to reset the trip odometer.
Since there was no 350/350 in 79, not sure which engine you have in it if it's a number matching vehicle.
Since the 79 had no rear spoiler, can you provide a picture of what you have?
