ORIGINAL: mrggrm Oh, brake fluid works pretty well getting the resin off your hands. I thought I was the only one that knew that trick! Betcha' don't know whatcha' do for silicone/RTV... Rubbin' alcohol;) |

Nice wheels. I'm partial to Amer. Racing Vectors tho.
Is that a sat TV antenna on top? ;) |
RE: NEWBIE and first post. 1975 vette w/ 46k original
Air cleaner on the top. I don't think the vectors have the right offset as they stick out past the body. Maybe the rubber is too wide (265/50/15), but by the look of it, even with narrower tires, the wheels will still stick out.
I want to get some 17x8 rallys, but at the prices they get, 17" torque thrust II's might win. |

What are those rims you have now?
I now have 265/50/15's on the rear and want to go all the way around. Prob is, I have the stock ralley wheels and need more rim width. I may even go to 40's. |

I'm running 15X8.5 with 255/60s and they work fine. Had to trim a smidgen off the 'glass behind the rocker panels.

These are the rims I'm wondering about.
http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/292/p1020419yb6.jpg I'm havin' one heck of a time findin' rims that I like. won't go to the 16, 17, 18....inch rims. I don't like the styling. Instead of highjacking this thread, I'll start another. ;) |
