Im an australian currently looking at importing an 80' vette and was just wondering if anyone knows of a good spot to look for both cars and parts..things like body kits, interior parts, clear t-tops etc..
any help would be great, thanks.

RE: Questions
Craigslist is a great place to start looking. However, it's "caveat emptor" since you can't inspect the car yourself unless you plan to fly to the US.
For interior parts:
www.ecklers.com
For performance parts
http://www.summitracing.com/
For brakes:
www.cssbinc.com/ (Corvette Stainless steel brakes)
For misc parts:
http://www.pacvette.com/ Corvette Salvage yard, nice guy owns it and he has done tons of work with vettes.
and
http://www.vbandp.com/ Vette brakes and parts. Good site with lots of harder to find parts.

RE: Questions
Hey Brent
You might also try, corvetteAmerica.com, corvettecentral.com, and Riksvette.com. They will have about everything you will need to do a complete restoration. And of course you can find all the help you need right here on this forum. Everyone will guide you through the process. Good luck and G'day.

RE: Questions
There was another member from Austrailia, that memtioned there is a cut off year forrequiringa conversion to be done. I don't remember the exact year, but I think it was in the early to mid '70s.
Cars from before that year, didn't need to be converted, as they were concidered to be classics.
