Default Rack & Pinion Steering

I'm doing a total restore to a 68 roadster. I'm considering rack & pinion steering & a composite rear spring. Anybody have any input pro or con and the best deal ?

I can't comment on the rack and pinion, but I have composit mono springs front and rear. I LOVE 'EM!!! They are lighter and they won't squeek if they get dry or dusty. I bought a complete tunable suspension system for around 2400 and I don't regret it at all.

Thanks Starship, I'll look into that. I'm still thinking rack & pinion would be better than old steering. I just don't know yet. I'll wait to see if anyone else responds. Thanks again

I have stock steering on my car so I can't give you any pro's or con's but both Mid America Motorworks &Corvette Central sell rack & pinion conversion kits, you might try Vette Brakes & Products, Petes74ttop.
