Default REAR COIL-OVER SUSPENSION

They finally released this to go with their front coil-overs.

Here's a video over on the right side: http://www.speeddirect.com/

Hi 73shark, that will come in handy the next time you go to SCCA, PG.

Got to get the car put back together first. Then have to scrape up about $2500. Would like to try out the road course at Heartland Park in Topeka someday.

that is an awesome set-up. another item on my list of upgrades - the wish list keeps on growing!

It seems to me that the rear of the car is sitting rather high - I know that they say the ride height is adjustable - but for those of us who like to go low, how low will that suspension go? And $2500.00??? I dunno - my monospring only cost a few hundred, can I justify that expense?
Just thinking (translation, thinking = moaning) out loud.....

My complete suspension system was around 26.
I really couldn't justify another 25 to do an add on. [&o]

But hey, I'm still real curious about that set-up.

DV8: I think the reason it looks high is cuz the spare tire & carrier have been removed. The gap between the rear tire and fender lip look about normal. But there looks like there's a lot of threads left on the shock to lower it.

PG: My SCCA days were running in local Solo II which is their name for autoX. Just did it for fun.

With the way gas prices are going - I am going to be saving my $$$$ for an overdrive six speed gearbox.

That's a good idea. What's a Keisler go for?

hi there,

i was just thinking to replace my standard rear spring with a composite one.
PG and DV8 , you have that...is the improvement so effective?

probably you have argued that I'm not totally satisfied of my Corvette handling.I bought some vintage magazines to understand from driving tests which were the thoughts about...

I can't drive my Corvette at limit. I feel unsafe... the old magazines confirm mythoughts and say that the main limit on Corvette ( even with f41 kit ) is the rear suspension. So would the composite spring give an actual improvement?

the other limit ( but there's nothingto do with it) is the weight distribution. but I found different , contrastingdatas.

the 73 magazine says that the 73 Vette 350has 51.1% on front susp and 48,9% on rear
the 79 mag says that the 79 L82 has 47% front , 53% rear
not a big difference but where's the truth? those cars are not so different at the end....
possibly they mean those values with car loaded -unloaded...
