restoration tips?
I am restoring a 1968 corvette from the frame up and was wondering if you guys had any advice. Any restoration websites or stores for restoration parts and martial would be greatly appreciated. I am only 16 (paying for everything myself) so money is an issue. I am trying to find out the proper way to restore my car and at the lowest price.
Thanks,Kevin

Hello Kevin and congratulations on the '68 'Vette, many of us would give a lot for one of those.
Cheap and Corvette unfortunately do not go together. My advice to you is to buy the best quality you can up front, otherwise you will end up doing the job twice, maybe 3 times.
There are many sources for the parts that you will want. Some of the ones that first come to mind are Eckler's, Corvette America, Zip Corvette, Mid America Motorworks, Wilcox (on ebay), and of course General Motors Performance Parts (GMPP) for crate engines if you decide to go that route. You will also want to get an A.I.M. (Assembly Instruction Manual) for your 'Vette.
The online forums like this one are the best place for information, lots of people have been there before you and are willing to help.
The only way to save money restoring your 'Vette is through sweat equity. Parts ain't cheap.
Post lots of pictures (we like 'em) and ask lots of questions and you will be driving that baby soon!
