Default Sites for Vettes

Does anyone have suggestions on where to look for C3 corvettes to purchase, other than this forum, auto-trader and vehix?

I want to expand my search, find some reputable contacts, good sites to peruse, etc.

Thanks.

Try this one,....

I just Googled "Corvette Trader" and a lot of sites came up.

BTW, "Corvette" is a propper noun and should be capitalized,......

What are you looking for in a C3? I have a 79 (see my signature) that I have taken to where I want to go with it and am ready to move on to another project. It needs a hobbyist or mechanic to own it. It's a modified car and if taken to a dealer or regular mechanic, would either be turned away or the owner would get a clunking big bill! Make me a serious offer somewhere in the $6500 area and we'll talk?

Thanks for the offer. I am looking for a 1980-1982, yellow manual for starters. I like the the front end better on the 80's than the 70s. Thank you.

Can you put a 80's front end on a 70's vette?

I have never seen a manual 80-82.

Not sure if you can change the front ends

Well I know they exist, I have seen them. Granted they are harder to find. 1982 did not make any manuals, but there always those mechanics out there that like to put different engines and transmissions in stuff. I will find one eventually.

The "Starship" came to me with 4 on the floor.
I've heard that the L-46 has the 4 speed and the L-82 has a sluch box.
Well, figure this,.....the "Starship" shows no signs of ever having a sluch box
but bares the L-82 badges.

Not sure if you would have to change the whole front clip or just the nose.

The VIN has an engine code. At least it did in '73.

As far as putting an 80s front end on an earlier shark, anything is possible w/ enuf time & money.
