Default Squeaking in engine bay

I accidently spilled some power steering fluid on the V-Belts. (Got to love where the cap for the PS is). Now the engine squeaks. I know the culprit is the belt, but how do I fix it?

Best replace it with a new one.

ZEP solvent will clean it up, and not leave residue. I use it where I work to clean copper, which stains very easily. I've used Zep many times over the years, in many dif applications, and it works very well. We call it "Vanighing Oil".

You can also spray some brakleen on it. It will absorb the oil and evaporate.

Assorted belt dressings are at your local autozone, or just try some pool chalk.

I replaced both belts. It turns out the alternator bearings were the culprit. Time to change out the alternator. bleh
