Default Thirty-five years driving same Vette

I just retired from teaching after 35 years. I drove home on the last day of school my first year of teaching in this 1969 Corvette. After 35 years, I drove home my very last time from teaching in the same Vette! During the last few years, I have taught many of my former students' children. They would always say that their parents remembered me driving the Vette when I taught them. How long have you been driving yours?

Great looking Vette. And love to hear of devoted owners. And Congratulations on your retirement.

I just aquired my first Vette two years ago. 16 july, 06. Wish I had done it sooner.

Cheers

Still looking good after all these years. Congrats on retirement. Did it two years ago. An old saying is a bad day in retirement is better than a good day at work.

Edit: Forgot to say that I bought it new from the factory.

I Have had my Corvette almost 12 years now.

It's alot of fun when you are driving along and someone takes a picture or people stop to take a second glance.

Still in progress on new things to do to the car.

Congrats on the retirement look forward to it someday myself.

Sweet 69, 1 of my favorite year Vette.

Please don't grade me on my punctuation not my strongest subject.

What subject did you teach?

Let's see...uh 1969, Ann Arbor, Mi.,...uh, what was I do'in? Oh 'ya, I was in junior high, John Collins murders, John Sinclair sit in's, race riots in Detroit, man that brings back some scary times. Congrats on retirement. I've had my '78 for four years. I definitely remember Corvettes being the car to own.

Not just owning your 'Vette f/ 35 years, but keeping it in that kind of shape in that part of the country w/ the harsh winters. Growing up in New York, I know what winters can do to cars as the salt works on EVERYTHING. Nice job.
And teaching is actually "the" most important job of any, as you're the ones molding future'ssociety/society's future. And one of the most "under/un-appreciated" jobs, which shows what a "junk bond" mentality society has. (Makes me think of "Atlas Shrugged") You surely must have retired w/ a great feeling of accomplishment. Thanks.

Started teaching in 1974. Bought my '73 in '96. Unfortunately got a few more years until I can retire.
