I'm running 255-60/15s on 8.5" rims with 0.5" negative offset. They clear the parking brake cable bracket on the trailing arm by about 0.25". I had to trim a little 'glass behind the rocker panel at the bottom rear of front wheel openings. Stock wheels clear just fine. hey Ax, I read that one on the engineand got a good laugh from the reply's. I'm going with the 255/60 and I talked to a corvette machanic and he looked it up for me and the 19 tooth is the one for both the 225/70 and 255/60, it threw a question mark but thats what the book calls for. He must know what he's talking about cause thats all he works on. Just going to enjoy the riding while it's nice out, then break out the winter toys, and work on the summer one.

 

Just did the math and there's less than 2% difference between the two sizes. So you mech. is correct.
