So I recently inherited a 1979 Corvette. Slowly repairing things as they are coming up and learning new things as I go. my question is the signal light lever with cruise? I see that there are straight levers and levers with curves. Does that make a difference? The current one is curved, but it is not working and I did replace the mechanism in it. And it still does not go up-and-down very well.So I'm wanting to order a new lever which I'm not sure If they're both compatible or not. At least I'm assuming that that's why it's still not working correctly. Maybe lever junk?

Welcome to the forums. The early 79s had a curved lever and the late 79s were straight. I would replace it with the lever style it came with even though they could be interchangeable. I'm not sure why they changed the lever style It could have been different style steering wheels from early to late.
