Underbody Opinion
We ended up getting the car and love it. One thing I noticed on the dealer order sheet is they did get an undercoating on the car. Some of it's still there. However prior to picking it up the broker had the bottom power sprayed to clean it up and it looks great for its age. One thing that did happen is a few of the areas you can see some bare metal (silver). Not much but some. I was wondering given the originality of the car, what kind of touch up paint would you recommend to cover these up until such time down the road we end up repainting the underbody?
Unless you're going to eventually do a full body-off restoration to NCRS standards then it probably doesn't matter what paint you wind up using temporarily. Just a high quality primer and paint should do the job
After reading this, I guess it really doesn't matter if you are going to do the full NCRS type restoration because then you're going to have to strip it all anyway.
