Aldous, I can weight the condenser and compressor off my '78 if you want to know the weight savings, but I will be re-installing them along with the new motor, these cars are too hot for me in the summer and I'm in a northern climate.

Hi Aldous, you don't think that you need A/C, go to lunch one day when it's 90* out and then tell me that.
Stop thinking about taking stuff off your car, you won't feel it in the seat.
73 shark, glad you posted a photo, your car looks great and thanks for all the correct advise.
DeeVeeEight, lowes or home depot insulation is much cheeper and works great. You suppose they are in Italy?I like the little man racing, too cool! The boot under the shifter, a must have, couldn't touch it before I replaced that.
78Buckshot, how much could that stuff weigh, 30 lbs?
Schoon, welcome back!
Thanks to everybody for making this the best forum, PG.

73shark . thanks for the infos about my engine heads. they were a mistery to me

78buckshot. thanks but no need to weight the AC parts. I'll left them where they are

PG. OK for AC. I rely on your advises. I just fear engine overheating in summer when AC on. And I still don't know if my AC works or not...
Anyway I prefer , probably , to roast myself than my engine.

I start to think , anyway , that if too hot in certain summer days , better to leave the Corvette at home. evenings-nights OK ( lot of fun here in summer : almost same assouthern California)

thanks
