Default 4K for an 88?

Bidding on one on Ebay, 79K miles 4+3, needs seats. The guy has it miss listed as an 86, I ran the VIN It's an 88. I was thinking of using it as a daily driver. Any thoughts? I could keep the miles off the 95 and drive a Corvette to more places!

For 4k, you're not gonna' get a daily driver. He's a dealer; he's not givin' it up for his cost...

Steering wheel cover... Covering a baked foam underneath?
The two door panels are toast.
Bezel is about to fall off the driver's headlight.
Black spray can has oversprayed all over the engine compartment.
Mismatched screws over the odometer is real scary (digital dash and/or odo rollback!!!)
Anybody recognize the thing behind the driver's seat???
Front corvette license plate is from a '91 - '96
Not original paint. Nice painted wires out back...
Rear deck alignment is off a little - gas lid...

Not sure there, eagle. If ya' take it, get there before the deposit leaves yer own paws.

How far away is it?

$4000 for an 88? How about the other one listed from the same guy on e-bay. $5000 for a 96 with 89000?! Die cast cost almost that much. What's the story with this guy. Does anybody know? For $5000 I just might get me another one. (Probably couldn't get out of Florida before it broke down, though.)

I got a sister near there stickel... She said she doesn't recognize the place. I'm guessin' it's a small airstrip, or an auction site??? That one sign says registration, I think.

CWB,
As I read further into it it, I noticed the location as Winter Haven not Palm Bay. Winter Haven is a good ways from me and I don't know the area, sorry.

Well thinking about it, That cheap Vette could become real expensive. You got to worry about a dealer that doesn't even know the year of the car he's selling. I think I'll pass. I was looking for a L98 IROC anyways.
