84-roof panel replacement

hello i have a 84 that the roof panel is damaged that iam looking to replace i have had a quote of 800.00 for a new panel from local corvette shop iam not postive that would include install?? i have searched on line for panels and have ran accross some for 449.00 to 499.00 also i should mention that iam postive the previous ediot that had this car rolled it. question is what should i be considering when buying a replacement panel and is there any hardware or seals that would have to be replaced i have not attemped to take the one thats on the car off,so iam not sure of what all is involed with a new install thanks tsaun

if youve found someone to install it, ask them if that includes al hardware needed.

I have an 85 and also need to replace the targa top, Brand new ones go for 1,200 refurbs w/exchange go for 700. Is the 800 brand new? Where did you see them for 450? Install is very easy. As far as I know they don't come with hardware, you should not really need it. There ere two screws in the back and two in the front.

What is specifically wrong with your current top? I know most detail shops can remove the wind scratches for around $150.
