Three things - what is 'strite'? Second - the Fuel Filter will BE CLEARLY MARKED AS TO FLOW DIRECTION. And thirdly - SPELL CHECK!

Did you put the strainer on at the right angle? Facing front to back. Also, you might have a baffle that came loose in the tank, if so it's tank replacement time. [:o]

RE: 85 VETTE GAS PROBLEM

yea i not a good typer lol but thats not my problem rite now lol the baffel is the littil box in the tank that the fuel pump sits in if so it is not broke it is solid. now the strianer is on the end of the fuel pump? i think it is the strianer itself is offset if you have the pump out and put the strianer on it has a long side to it i dont know were the long side should point to if the pump is bolted back to the car and sitting in baffel should long side be up or down i think downwards it would smash against the bottom of baffel
see when i changed pump the strianer was all ready off laying in tank so i have no way of knowing wich way it the long side faces i not sure what you mean there facing front to back theres no marking on strianer
