94 'Vette Headlight "on" chime
Users manual to my lovely 94 vette indicates that there should be a chime that sounds when I inadvertanly leave my headlights on and take the key out of the ignition. Now, no chime sounds, and I have accidentally left my lights on twice.
Is this fuse based or is this a short somewhere.

RE: 94 'Vette Headlight "on" chime
I have a similar problem. When my car is RUNNING and I turn on the headlights it chimes...I am trying to trace it. Possibly your problem is your door switch may be stuck or it may be a short which is what mine apparently is. If you try the door switch get back and I can help you trace the short as I am working on it myself. Goodluck

RE: 94 'Vette Headlight "on" chime
The chime for the door works on a ground circuit. The switch completes a path to ground for the chime and light. My 86 had a similar prob in that the hatch switch on the driver door would not open the hatch. Come to find out the door switch was not opening all the way to not only turn the lights on, but to supply ground for the hatch switch to trip the relay for the hatch solenoid.
