Default Alternator Help Please

I feel REALLY stupid right now...

My new alternator just arrived from GearHeads.com

Waited 3 weeks and she sure is pretty

However, I specified the proper alternator (I thought there were only 2 types one-wire or three-wire) and they promised it would be a direct fit for my '87 baby.

But my clip has 3-wires and the big red battery cable.[:@][sm=headbang.gif]

I've attached some pics for help.

The old alt had a plug with 3-wires 1-brown 1-blue and 1-red connected to it.

The new alt has the normal 2 blade type males for a connector plug.

Please, Please, Please! Somebody explain how to fix this problem.

I've already missed over 3 weeks of Wisconsin's very short driving season[:'(]

Yes, I'm beggin' here bro's[sm=helpout.gif][sm=helpout.gif][sm=helpout.gif]

Next message will have more pic

[sm=icon_flaming.gif][sm=icon_flaming.gif][sm=icon_flaming.gif]Just noticed!

Idiots sent me the wrong part to begin with[sm=shootshoot.gif]

Now I just need to try to get my money back and NEVER shop at GearHeads.com again[:@]

So, anyone know where I can get a polished 100amp alternator for an 1987 Vette?

I just want the underhood experience to be nice otherwise I would have gone to a local place...

Refuse to give up[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Hello,
You have a "CS" type alternator. They sent you an "SI" type. Make sure you specify "CS" type next time.

Hope you have better luck next time you go to purchase.
