Just curious to see if anyone drove their C4 every day and if it was holding up.

I was driving my 85 every day to work and back until the transmission decided it didn't want to go into 3rd or 4th. I'm Having it rebuilt as I have mentioned before. I have to drive 40 miles one way to work and my Ford Bronco gets about 12 miles to the gallon so the vette is more fun and more economical. The car is bone stock with no upgrades so I don't have 600hp under the hood but that's what makes it reliable, well somewhat reliable.

Hello, to all

My 92 has been a daily driver it's whole life. My dad bought it new and drove everyday till he died three years ago. I drive it daily during the summer but can't during winter. I live in Montana and it gets a little tricky driving in the snow and ice. It does take its toll on the machine. The interior is the weakest area. I'm not real impressed with fit and finish or longevity. But I also miss the days of simple cars with lots of horsepower!!!!!! I've had distributer, egr, brake booster replaced. Now It's in the shop getting the ecu and the sensor in the fuel tank replaced. Speedo went crazy on me driving from south Texas to Montana. But all in all I really like my Vette. You just can't beat the power to dollar ratio.

Have an awesome day

I drive mine to and from work and even around the city after work and just the average amount is about 70 miles a day. It still holds up well, but i bought it with some problems and i think i bought a lemon so im in the process of replacing just about everything right now. But yes, for the time being, its a daily driver

I split the daily drive w/my bikes but tend to daily drive it 4 times a week. The work commute is 45 miles round trip. When I'm out with my girlfriend we split the time between our cars. I just bought my 84 right before Christmas but already have put 3k on it. Awesome ride!

I own an 87 vette with a new motor with 1000 miles on it. Drive it everyday to work about 40 miles a day. Needs work on the suspension and interior but so far been running great! Granted it's a new motor but the one before it was perfect also. It had 73000 miles on it before it blew. (long story but it should of never blown)

I have an '87 and I daily driveit to work and school. it has a few light mods like a chip, airfoil, exhaust, k&N filter. and I still get around 18mpg. which is alot better than the 8-13mpg from my '72 El Camino.

My 1995 Vette serves as a great commuter car. 120k+ miles and it's always fun to drive to and from work (20mi each way). I get good MPG, and feel that if you spend the money for a car, you should drive it, not let it sit in a garage because you don't want to use it and lower it's value. After all, you only live once. I must say, that even though there are plenty of horses under the hood, I mostly like driving it because it's my dream car, and don't usually speed.
