Well, Chevy Performance seemed to think that Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic was the way to go. I use it because thats what they reccommend (but how much do you think Mobil 1 may have paid to have Chevy put something on their cars that says "Use ONLY Mobile 1"?) I needed an oil change really bad one day and took it to Jiffy Lube cause i didnt have the time and they only use Penzoil i believe, and my car ran just as good as ever. Just whatever you put in there, make sure its synthetic!

When I raced motocross and ATVs, I particularly liked Royal Purple. That stuff is expensive though. A lot cheaper to put in a 4 wheeler than a Car.

My friend used to use Royal Purple in his Mustang. He told me that it worked just like any other oil. He could be wrong though because just because YOU dont feel a difference doesnt mean taht your engine doesnt feel it. If you have the kind of mentality where "you get what you pay for" then i would definately go with Royal Purple because they are definately one of the most expensive. I think i might try them out one day!

I use Castrol GTX on my 86 and 74. It seems to work well. I've never tried a Fully Synthetic oil like Mobil 1. Maybe I'll try it out..C-ya

High perf engines prefer a fully synthetic mostly because of the high temps a synth can handle. Everyone has a preference, mine has always been Mobile 1. That went for my 5.0L 'stang and my Vette[8D]

BTW Vette's are WAAAAAAYYYYYY mo-betta-man

My car is out of service but while it's disabled I'm going to do an oil change with Mobil 1 synthetic and an ac/delco filter.

I WOULD SUGGEST USING WHAT THE CAR WAS RAISED ON.MY 90 GETS ONLY MOBIL 1,I THINK IT WOULD BE A BIG MISTAKE TO SWITCH FROM A SYNTHETIC OIL,THEY ARE SUPERIOR.JUST MY OPINION.
