A while back I wrote here that I bought a new 1984 and I remembered that if the odometers were rolled back silver lines would appear between the digits. A number of people responded that they never heard of it and I was wrong. Just for what it's worth I was reading my owners manual and it is in there, just like I remembered it. So of you have silver lines in the odo you know why. Of course the easy way to alter these are to find a low mileage wreck..
