Well i hooked up a scanner to pull the codes and on my snap on it says: CODE 29 EAS ELECTRICAL FAULT. What exactly is this pertaining to? how can i fix this so i can get it back to the way it should be?

hey dfwgsx... I have a Haynes Repair Manual for 1984 - 1996 corvettes. I can not find a # 29 [&:]anywhere. Nope can't find code # 29. What year is yours?

Believe that code is for the airpump. At least for my 95. What year do you have?

a 1995...also the code i believe was 64 also popped up for my right bank O2 sensor running lean, how do i know which one is messing up considering there is a pre-cat and after-cat?

a 1995...also ...right bank O2 sensor running lean,
Hmmm. O2 sensor indicating a high O2 content right bank?

Can't be fuel pressure, cause that would be common to both sides. Gotta' be an injector right side fault...

RE: code 29

i just replaced them with 24lb motorcrafts, by chance do you think that the air pump could be causing it to lean out?

also what is the plastic ball that is next to the smog pump? I hit something on the highway and it ripped my inside fenderwell out as well as that ball. Is it okay to drive without it?

RE: code 29

Quite possible. Unplug the air hoses to the exhaust manifolds and see if there is pumping @ idle. Shouldn't be and if it is one side (O2 side), then there's your problem.

RE: code 29

Sure. You should have 2 air hoses off the smog pump, 1 to each exhaust manifold. Pull each off and see if air is being pumped at idle. It shouldn't be. If you do, then your diverter valve is bad, making one side read lean or even both sides, depending on if they are pumping. Should only be pumping under throttle.
