Code 41
About 3000 miles ago, I replaced the factory opti-spark with an aftermarket unit made by MSD. Everything was fixed, and recently, i have been having intermittent starting problems. My mechanic finally got it to not start and the computer shows a code 41 which he says has to deal with the opti-spark unit. Can any one help me out as to what might be going on under the hood. I really dont want to have to replace the unit again. Thanks

RE: Code 41
You might have a problem with ignition coil driver module. Code 41 is set when the ECM sees a voltage of higher than 4.6 volts on the white EST wire, which might be the driver is shorting out or your coil is creating unwanted voltage spikes.
