I am a new membe... I own a 1992 convertible. I am trying to purchase a plastic deck protector which is permanently installed. I was told the later year C4 convertibles can from the factory with a permanent plastic deck protector. I can only find plastic protectors that are installed temporarily installed (plastic “clings” to the deck) when the top is up and then removed when the top is down. I would greatly appreciate where a permanent plastic prospector can be purchased. Thanks!

If later models came from the factory with a permanent protector, then you could check with your Chevrolet parts department to see if they're still available through them. If not the only other option would be the Corvette aftermarket.
Do the cling ones not stay on when the top is down?
You might check around hobby stores because I think there is a clear vinyl on a roll available that has adhesive on one side. All you would have to do that is cut it out to fit yours and apply it.
I have never seen a C4 deck protector other than the clear static strip (which I use). First I remember seeing is on the C5 deck. I'm going to Carlisle next week and will ask around there. If it existed someone there will know.
