Friday, June 29th, is the date of the 7th Annual "Drive Your Corvette To Work Day" sponsored by Mid America Motorworks. In honor of "Drive Your Corvette To Work Day", enthusiasts across the United States make " America's Sports Car" their commuter car for the day. Launched in 2001, Mid America Motorworks' Drive Your Corvette To Work Day is an annual event celebrated by thousands of Corvette owners. "We understand why many owners consider their Corvette to be a special car and only drive it occasionally," said Mike Yager, founder and "Chief Cheerleader" of Mid America Motorworks. "But we think driving your Corvette to work, at least one day a year, is an excellent way to demonstrate just how popular Corvettes are. And it is a chance for Corvette owners to meet other new Corvette owners." Corvette owners who observe "Drive Your Corvette To Work Day" are encouraged to send high resolution digital pictures of their car at work to clubs@mamotorworks.com.

For all of us that drive one of our Corvettes to work everyday, let's see a picture of your "road warrior" and some details such as total mileage on the car, how many days a week you drive and total round trip mileage. I'll start it off with my daily driver.

1990 Corvette, 154K miles, driven to work 5 days/week, 54 miles round trip in Houston traffic and heat...

drive it everday around 280 miles a week unless we decide to take it out of town then who knows cant amagine just driving it on the weekends well I guess it takes all kinds

Hard to believe there's only 2 of us that drive our C4 Corvettes daily....

 

I drive mine everyday. unless it's raining real bad, and that's just because the 40's tend to hydro-plane.

 

I don't work. Can I just drive mine around the block a few times?

 

Daily Driver:
Lake Mary, Florida, '92 Convertible, 102k miles, 4 miles round trip to work. Since my drive to work is so short, I look for excuses to drive ANYWHERE, so I can enjoy it. I am out of town on a business trip currently, but when I return this weekend I will post a picture.

 

I drive mine to work everyday as well. Good thing it's only 2-3miles round trip. I just bought an 82 Collector's Edition that will take the place of the daily beater since she only has 38,000 on her. Not bad for a 94!

 

I'd love the chance to drive mine to work but I drive a company truck (HVACR service) and am often times dispatched to the job directly from the house.I do take the Vette out whenever possible outside of work hours, I've only put about 3000 miles on it in 3 years, it has a little over 75000 miles, 1978 L48 auto trans.

 

I bought a '93 Convertible last August with 75K miles.I drive it to work daily, normally with the top down. It is 54 miles round trip so I racking up mileage, it is now at 85K miles.
