I love my baby. She's a 1991 (not a ZR1) with 75,000 miles on it. I bought her two months ago and she runs pretty darn great. Previous owner was a NCM member and had new carpet, custom door sills, and new tires put on it. I drive it 5-6 times per week, and my commute to work is about 35 miles round trip.

My favorite thing about driving a Vette is seeing other ones on the road and getting "the wave." There are no other car owners I know of who do that. How cool! When I pay this one off in 5 years, I want to get a C5, or, if I'm doing really well, a C6.

My daily driver is a 89 coupe, 6 speed manual,White with red interior. It is my economy ride,
averaging 23 mi/gal for my daily 20mile round trip. Recently took it on a thousand mile
vacation trip and first leg of trip all inter-state got 27mi/gal. I was worried when I bought it
a year ago because gas was going up, but gets better milage than my full size Chevy truck, so
I drive it every chance I can.

 

I too am one of the lucky ones that commutes in my 90 convertible 6-speed, l-98. It's 41 miles round trip and is split between city and country driving. I average 21 mpg.

I don't drive mine as much as I should. Just on weekends and holidays. But on June 29th, it's on...

I drive mine nearly everyday anyway so it'll be just another day. Even with the occasional downtime when doing extensive mods, I still average about 10K miles a year on it. No pics yet but I'll work on it.

 

We bought the C4 for my wife to drive as a daily driver.....

She has about a 10 mile RT commute...thru town.....Looks GREAT doin' it.[sm=gears.gif]

On the rare days that I drive the Corvette, my commute is about 50 miles RT......

I "EXCERCISE" the car the way it's supposed to be....[sm=happy046.gif]

Hello all, I'm new to this forum and also a new to owning a Corvette. I just recently purchased an 84 and it has become my daily driver. Rest assured I will be driving it on the 29th and waving hello to all of the other Corvettes I see on the way to work.
