I've read all of the threads that I can find pertaining to removal of the dash pad on a 1985 C4 and I still can't get mine off. I have loosened everything and the dash pad will move about 6" but it won't slide out. It is hanging on the speakers attached to the pad. I see no way to remove the speakers without taking the dash pad out first. What am I missing?

 

Sorry but you might have to remove the speakers from the bottom then. I've had my pad off but I don't have dash speakers in it. Sorry.

Is there a speaker grill that you can remove to access the speakers?

 

The grills mounted from the bottom on mine so there was not a way to access them from the top. I suspect yours are the same, sorry.
