My recently purchased 93 Ruby has been running fine, but when I took the car out after about 3 weeks of down time, I had several DIC codes displayed. The first was the ASR light, then the Service Engine Soon light came on. Shortly thereafter, the speedometer showed zero, the odometer stopped working and a "system" light flashed every 15 seconds.

I have the shop manuals for the car and was not quite sure how to ground post "G" to get to the diagnostic center. Does anyone have experience with this issue, and any advice on how to proceed? I hate to limp the car to a shop already if the problem is something minor.

With the long end of the ALDL connector down, connect the 2 pins in the upper right of the connector together with a paper clip, then turn your key on and count your flashes of the "Check Engine" light. Will be blinking a 2 digit code, flash, flash-flash is a code 12. [8D]
